If the light guard is interrupted while the foot pedal is pressed, the upper
beam will go downwards in safe speed; < 10 mm/sec.
The light guard is designed with blanking.
Blanking means that there is a set range of beams, maximum 28,5 mm,
not related to position, that may be interrupted.

In case of the two most right pictures the upper beam will stop immediately
The position of the range of allowed interrupted beams is not a fixed
position but can be floating along the length of the light guard during the
process.
If the light guard is interrupted at the same time outside the 28,5 mm zone
the upper beam will stop immediately the downward movement
Furthermore the control is developed to use the light guard as an “operator
button.” So there is the possibility to operate the upper beam by means of
a “one break” or “two break” interrupt of the light guard. This can result in
a highly efficient way of working with certain products.
In what way the possibilities are used, is mechanically set by the selector
switch (See also § 2.3 “Electrical cabinet”, 4). Subsequently the operator
can choose out of 3 procedures on the Touch screen.
ATTENTION
If shining sheet material is processed due to reflection the
functioning of the safety light guard might be disturbed. See also
the Sick manual.

Press brake control on adjustable swivel arm
The press brake control is in height adjustable to meet a comfortable
working height for the operator.
