• A controlled jump is when you start a jump and land it on the same point on the mat.
Always jump on the centre of the mat.
• Make sure the opening of the safety net is properly closed before you start jumping.
• Do not use the trampoline if you have drunk alcohol or taken drugs.
• Anyone using the trampoline must not have any hard or sharp objects with them.
• Climb off the mat in a careful and controlled manner. Never jump down from the mat
and do not use it for jumping onto other objects.
• Learn the basic jumps first and make sure you master them before trying more
advanced jumps. See the section Jumping Instructions to learn the basics.
• Bend at the knees when you touch the mat with your feet in order to stop the jump.
• Always keep in control of the jump when you are using the trampoline. A controlled
jump is when you start a jump and land it on the same point on the mat. Try to stop
the jump if you feel that you are losing control.
• Do not jump for too long and never do several extremely high jumps in a row.
• Keep your focus on the mat as this will make it easier to keep control of your jump.
Otherwise you may lose balance or lose control.
• Do not jump while you are eating or drinking.
• Only one person should jump at a time.
• Children must always be supervised when they are using the trampoline.
SUPERVISOR
• The person in charge/supervisor must understand and apply all of the safety
instructions and guidelines in this manual. The person in charge is responsible for
giving advice and instructing anyone who uses the trampoline. If there is no-one
who can keep watch over the people jumping, the trampoline must be stored in a
sheltered place, disassembled to prevent unauthorised use or covered over with a
tarpaulin.
The person in charge is also responsible for making sure that the safety sign is
attached to the trampoline and for giving safety instructions to anyone who jumps on
the trampoline.
• Someone must always be watching a person who is jumping, no matter how old or
experienced they are.
• Do not use the trampoline if it is wet, damaged, dirty or worn. Check the trampoline
before you use it.
• Make sure that any objects that could get in the way of the person jumping are kept
away from the trampoline. Check what is above, under and around the trampoline.
• Make sure that the trampoline cannot be used by anyone who is unauthorised to do
so, or if no-one is there to keep watch.
