Casing
The material used must have the following characteristics:
- Good conductivity
- High thermal resistance
WARNING
Thermal insulating materials, such as expanded concrete, must not be
used as they might subject the appliance to excessive thermal stress.
There must be no direct contact
between the heat storage jacket and the
casing.
To ensure even heat distribution, a gap of between
4 and 12 cm
should be
left between the outside of the jacket and the inside of the casing.
Ensure there is adequate internal air circulation between the appliance and
heat storage system and the storage system and the casing.
The minimum
casing surface area
with regard to
nominal heating power
(NWL= nominal power) is given by the following equation:
If, for technical reasons, it is not possible to apply the optimal casing surface
area, an adjustable hot air vent should be fitted in the casing.
