Inflammable environment (inf)
Floor
The adjustable feet of the appliance
must stand directly on the weight-
bearing surface.
Within the casing, the floor under the
appliance must be covered with a
con-
crete slab 12 cm thick
A layer of
thermal insulation, 10 cm
thick
, should be placed between the
appliance and the concrete slab
Side and rear walls
A
protective wall
of thickness of at
least
10 cm
should be placed directly
on the building wall. It must be made of
molded brick, concrete or similar mate-
rial. The protective wall must seamless-
ly cover the whole of the building wall
inside the fireplace casing cavity.
Thermal insulation
, of a thickness of

, between the protective wall and
the fireplace inset must be laid seam-
lessly, and cover the whole of the pro-
tective wall inside the fireplace casing
cavity.
Ceiling
If the fireplace casing cavity above the
appliance extends to the ceiling, then
the ceiling needs to be protected by a

thermal insulation

12 cm
thick
The thermal insulation is laid on a
non-
inflammable cover
, at least 6 cm thick,
with a permanent, unchanging thermal
resistance.
