 About the Serial Port

About the Serial Port

Your cash register includes a serial 
port on the right side of the cash 
register. You can connect items to the 
cash register using this serial port. You 
can only connect one device to the 
serial port at a time. 

To use the optional barcode reader, you must connect it to the serial port. 
You can also use the serial port to connect the cash register to a P C  and 
use the R egisterL ink software. 

To connect your computer to the serial port, you need a null-modem serial 
cable. A  6 foot null modem serial cable is included in the box with the 
cash register.

About the SD Card Slot

Your cash register includes an SD  card reader/writer. I t is located to the
left of the serial port on the right side of the cash register. U se this port 
to download or transfer your cash register data quickly and easily.

I nsert your SD  card with the label facing up, and push in until it clicks. 
T o remove an SD  card quickly push in on the card until it slides free 
from the reader and then pull it out completely.
