FA ROTEX HeatPumpSolarUnit - Part 2 - 05/2009
Hot water does not warm up Water heating switched off (e.g. time program is in the
economy phase, parameters for water heating have
been set incorrectly).
• Check the operating mode setting.
• Check the request parameters.
Hot water does not heat up
enough.
Storage tank charging temperature too low.
• Increase the target hot water temperature.
Draw-off rate too high.
• Reduce the draw-off rate, limit throughput.
Output of heat pump too low.
• Check the switching times for room heating and water heating
for overlaps.
Backup Heater (BH) not switched on as well.
• Check mains supply of the Backup Heater (BH).
• Thermal protection switch for the Backup Heater (BH) has been
triggered (see Chapter
2.2.1 "Indoor Module (RKHB)", item 20).
• Overheating fuse for the Backup Heater (BH) is defective (see
Chapter
2.2.1 "Indoor Module (RKHB)", item 21).
• Check parameter values [4-XX].
Optionally installed ROTEX Solaris system
• Change parameter settings [C-00].
Booster Heater (EHS)
• Check mains supply of the Booster Heater (EHS).
• Check position of the STL on the Booster Heater (EHS) (see
Fig 4-72, Page 53).
• Check parameter settings [8-XX]:
Room cooling
1)
is not cooling
Water flow too low.
• Check that all stop valves of the water circuit are completely
open.
• Check that the water filter is dirty.
• Check that the expansion tank is defective.
• Bleed system completely.
• Check on pressure gauge whether there is sufficient water
pressure >0.3 bar.
• Check that the pump speed is set to the highest level.
• Check that the resistance in the water circuit is not too high for
the pump (see Chapter
5.1.5 "Starting up a ROTEX HeatPump-
SolarUnit").
Room cooling
1)
standby switched off (e.g. switching
time program is in economy phase, outside tempera-
ture too high)
• Check the operating mode setting.
• Check the request parameters.
• Check the setting of time a weekday in the control system.
Refrigerant compressor is not working.
• Wait until minimum water temperature is reached (15 °C). At a
low water temperature the system uses the Backup Heater (BH)
first to reach the minimum water temperature.
• Have the system checked by a service engineer.
System is in the operating mode "Room heating"
• Reset operating mode to "Room cooling".
Cooling output for room
cooling
1)
too low
Water flow too low.
• Check that all stop valves of the water circuit are completely
open.
• Check whether the water filter is dirty.
• Check whether the expansion tank is defective.
• Bleed system completely.
• Check on pressure gauge whether there is sufficient water
pressure >0.3 bar.
• Check if the pump speed is set to the highest level.
• Check that the resistance in the water circuit is not too high for
the pump (see Chapter
5.1.5 "Starting up a ROTEX HeatPump-
SolarUnit").
Quantity of refrigerant in the system too low or too
high.
• Have quantity of refrigerant checked by a service engineer and
have the system checked for leaks at the same time.
