FA ROTEX HeatPumpSolarUnit - Part 2 - 05/2009
[8] - Configuration of water heating
The parameter settings "Configuration of water heating" determine the minimum and maximum heating times for hot water and
the minimum time between two heating cycles.
1)
The function room cooling is available only for systems of type "HPSU..X".
The following setting options are available:
– [8-00] Minimum runtime heat pump: Sets the minimum runtime for water heating even if the target temperature of the hot
water has already been reached.
– [8-01] Maximum runtime heat pump: Sets the maximum runtime for water heating even if the target temperature of the hot
water has not yet been reached.
– [8-02] Restart time heat pump: Sets the minimum necessary interval between two hot water heating cycles (see Fig 6-16).
– [8-03] Delay time Booster Heater (EHS): Set the delay time for starting up the Booster Heater (EHS) after starting water
heating by the heat pump (see Fig 6-17).

– If a
room thermostat is connected
to the ROTEX HeatPumpSolarUnit and is configured, the
maximum
runtime [8-01]
can
only
be taken into consideration when required in the operating mode
Room cooling
1)
or room heating
.
If the heat pump is
not
active in the operating mode
Room cooling
1)
or Room heating
, the
water con-
tinues to be heated
by the heat pump
until
the
OFF temperature of the heat pump (T
HP OFF
)
(see param-
eter [5]) is reached.
If
no room thermostat
has been installed, the
Configuration of water heating
(EHS)
is always taken
into consideration
.
– By
adapting the delay time
for the
Booster Heater
(EHS)
[8-03]
in comparison to the maximum runtime
[8-02], you can define an
additional
offset between
energy efficiency
and heating time.
– If the value for the
delay time
for the
Booster Heater
(EHS)
[8-03]
is set too high, it can
take too long
for the
water temperature to reach
the required
target value
in operating mode water heating.
– The following rule must be observed:
[8-03] < [8-01]
.
