Start-up
Incorrect start-up makes the manufacturer's guarantee for the unit void. If you have questions, please contact our Technical
Customer Service.
5.1
Initial start-up
Once the ROTEX HeatPumpSolarUnit has been set up and fully connected, it requires one-time adjustment to the installation
environment (configuration) by a qualified expert and must also be adjusted to the user's requirements. After this configuration,
the system can be put into operation.
5.1.1 Requirements
– The ROTEX HeatPumpSolarUnit is fully connected.
– The heating and hot water system are filled and charged with the right pressure.
– The storage tank is filled to the overflow point.
– The control valves of the heating system are open.
– The refrigerant system is dehumidified and filled with the specified amount of refrigerant.
– All electrical connections have been made in accordance with the installation guidelines.
– Optional accessories have been mounted on and connected up.
5.1.2 Configure
ROTEX HeatPumpSolarUnit
Configuration is carried out by
setting the DIP switches
in the
Indoor and Outdoor Module
and setting parameters on the
control system of the Indoor Module (RKHB). Setting up optional components such as a room thermostat or the ROTEX Solaris
system is carried out on the particular component.
The
parameters are not set until after the first start-up
(see Chapter 6.4 "Individual").
WARNING!
A ROTEX HeatPumpSolarUnit that is installed or started incorrectly may not operate properly and is
dangerous for the health and safety of individuals.
• The ROTEX HeatPumpSolarUnit is only to be started up by qualified electricians, certified heating
engineers, and HVAC specialists, who because of their professional training and expert knowledge, have
experience in the professional installation and maintenance of heating, cooling and air conditioning
systems and heat pumps.
CAUTION:
A ROTEX HeatPumpSolarUnit not put into operation properly can lead to damage to property and the
environment.
• Observe the regulations in VDI 2035 in order to avoid corrosion and deposits.
• If the filling and make-up water has a very high hardness level, measures for hardness stabilisation and
softening would be needed.
– We recommend the use of Ferrox limescale and corrosion protector KSK (
15 60 50).
• During operation of the system, the water pressure must be checked at the pressure gauge at regular
intervals (it must be in the green range). If necessary, readjust by topping up.
