source button is assigned to.
Tip:
To quickly assign a button row to a bus on the standard
panel, press and hold the SEL button and use the source buttons
on the background and key bus to select which ME, key, or aux
you want to assign the row to.
Tip:
You can assign a particular Aux Bus to a Quick Preset to
allow it to be quickly selected. Select the Aux Bus you want to
assign, press Assign As Preset and then press the preset button
on the left that you want to assign it to.
Assigning a Panel Row to an ME
Each panel row can be assigned to any ME that
the control panel has permission to. The number
of MEs you have to assign depends on the ME
options you have purchased, and the hardware
you have installed. Assigning panel rows to
different MEs does not change the default ME
mapping.
Keep the following in mind:

panel row to an ME:
• If you assign a Panel Row to a different ME,
the accompanying Transition, Keyers, and
Memory Modules are also assigned to that
ME.
• If you assign an ME to an External Panel Row
that has an Auxiliary Control Panel on it, the
Auxiliary Control Panel will remain assigned
to the selected Aux Bus. ME assignments do
not apply to Auxiliary Control Panels.
• If an ME is not assigned to your control panel,
you cannot select it.
• If the Assign ME personality option is set to
Off, you cannot assign a different ME to a
panel row.
To Assign a Row to an ME
1.
Press the
SEL
button (mnemonic button on
the Double-Down) on the panel row you
want to assign to an ME.
Tip:
You can also press and hold the SEL button and use
the source buttons on the background and key bus to select
which ME, key, or aux you want to assign the row to.

Press button for the internal (
Row X
) or
external (
Extern Row X
) that you want to
assign to the ME.
Internal rows are the physical rows on the
control panel, as well as Auxiliary Control
Panels assigned as internal rows. External
rows are Auxiliary Control Panels that are
assigned as external rows.
4.
Press the button for the ME (
ME X
) that you
want the panel row assigned to.
Assigning a Row to an Aux Bus
The panel row can be assigned to an Aux Bus
or an AuxKey. When assigned to an AuxKey, the
entire row is assigned to the Aux Bus, when
assigned to a simple Aux Bus, only the Key Bus
of the row is assigned to the Aux Bus.
To Assign a Row to an Aux Bus
1.
Press the
SEL
button (mnemonic button on
the Double-Down) on the panel row you
want to set the key bus assignment for.
Tip:
You can also press and hold the SEL button and use
the source buttons on the background and key bus to select
which ME, key, or aux you want to assign the row to.

Select Aux Bus

3.
Press the button for the aux (
AUX X
) or
AuxKey (
AUX KEY X
) that you want to assign
to the bus or row.
Tip:
Toggle Lock Key Row to On to lock the assignment of
the key bus row to the current selection.
Tip:
Press Locked to lock the current aux bus to the
selected source. This functions like the bus hold.
Assigning a Key bus to a Keyer or Utility Bus
The Key bus of the panel row can be assigned
to any keyer or utility bus on the ME that the
row is assigned to. The Utility buses that are
available depend on what the configurable
program outputs are set to.
To Assign a Row to a Key
1.
Press the
SEL
button (mnemonic button on
the Double-Down) on the panel row you
want to set the key bus assignment for.
Tip:
You can also press and hold the SEL button and use
the source buttons on the background and key bus to select
which ME, key, or aux you want to assign the row to.
Tip:
On the Double-Down control panel, the top button
row is assigned to the even numbered keyers (2,4,6,8) and
the button row below is assigned to the odd numbered
keyers (1,3,5,7). This can be changed with the DD Key
Delegation personality option.
