Table 3: Keyers Module Button Functions
Function
Button
Selects the keyer that the module is
assigned to.
SEL
Assign the selected keyer as an auto
select key.
AUTO SELECT
Assign the selected keyer as self key.
SELF KEY
Assign the selected keyer as preset
pattern key.
PST PATT
Assign the selected keyer as a chroma
key.
CHROMA KEY
Allows you to fill the selected keyer
with a matte color.
MATTE FILL
Applies to auto select and chroma keys
to provide a single memory register
for storing key settings. Key memories
are stored for the key source, so that
when you store a key memory in one
ME, that key memory is used when you
select that same key source on any ME.
The KEY MEM button turns on
automatically when an auto select key
is selected, indicating that the key
memory for the key source is being
used. If the key source has not been
set up with a proper alpha, the KEY
MEM button will not light.
KEY MEM
Reverses the polarity of the key alpha.
For example, if a self key, such as a
title camera, has white letters on a
black background, the white letters
will normally cut the key hole. When
the key invert feature is used, the
polarity of the key is inverted so that
black lettering is used to cut the hole.
KEY INV
Allows you to apply a mask to the
selected keyer.
MASK
Allows you to apply a border to the
selected keyer. When pressed, the
border menu is displayed, and the last
selected border is applied. Press the
button again to turn the border off.
BORDER
Allows you to apply 2D DVE resources
to the selected keyer.
2D DVE
Function
Button
Allows you to apply 3D DVE resources
to the selected keyer.
3D DVE
Allows you to go directly to the
channel management menus. The
CHNL MGMT button lights to indicate
if multiple DVE channels are being
used by the selected keyer.
CHNL MGMT
Allows you to view the black and white
alpha signal for the selected keyer.
This alpha signal can either be routed
to the main preview output of the
switcher, or to the preview output of
the selected ME. Press and hold the
SHOW ALPHA button, for the selected
keyer and ME, to show the alpha for
that keyer on the preview output of
the switcher, or double-press the
SHOW ALPHA button to lock it on until
the button is pressed again. This
allows you to record the alpha signal
for a selected keyer independent of
the fill.
SHOW ALPHA
Allows you to temporarily force the
program output of the selected keyer
to the preview output of the switcher.
The ME remains in the key preview
state for as long as you hold the KEY
PV button, and returns to normal as
soon as you release the button. You
can also double-press the KEY PV
button to latch the ME in the key
preview state until the button is
double-pressed again.

Memory Module
This module is used to store and recall
memories, set attributes, and set rates for the
ME that is assigned to the row that the module
is on. If the row is assigned to ME 2, then this
module will only store and recall memories to
ME 2.
