TROUBLESHOOTING
Refer to Table E-3 to troubleshoot any problems that you encounter.
Table E-3. Troubleshooting
Symptom
Possible Causes
Corrective Action
Mode will not
leave OOS
1. Target mode not set
2. Configuration error
3. Resource block
4. Schedule
1. Set target mode to something other than OOS.
2. BLOCK_ERR will show the configuration error
bit set. The following are parameters that must be
set before the block is allowed out of OOS:
a. BYPASS must be off or on and cannot be left
at initial value of 0.
b. OUT_HI_LIM must be less than or equal to
OUT_LO_LIM.
c. SP_HI_LIM must be less than or equal to
SP_LO_LIM.
3. The actual mode of the Resource block is
OOS. See Resource Block Diagnostics for
corrective action.
4. Block is not scheduled and therefore cannot
execute to go to Target Mode. Schedule the block
to execute.
Mode will not
leave IMAN
1. Back Calculation
1. BKCAL_IN
a. The link is not configured (the status would
show “Not Connected”).Configure the
BKCAL_IN link to the downstream block.
b. The downstream block is sending back a
Quality of “Bad” or a Status of “Not Invited”.
See the appropriate downstream block
diagnostics for corrective action.
Mode will not
change to
AUTO
1. Target mode not set
2. Input
1. Set target mode to something other than OOS.
2. IN
a. The link is not configured (the status would
show “Not Connected”). Configure the IN link
to the block.
b. The upstream block is sending back a
Quality of “Bad” or a Status of “Not Invited”.
See the appropriate upstream block
diagnostics for corrective action.
Mode will not
change to CAS
1. Target mode not set
2. Cascade Input
1. Set target mode to something other than OOS.
