2. Making Connections for Recording
To record sound through the U-8, use one of the methods below to make the
connections.
Connecting a Guitar

In general, when connecting a guitar directly, connect it to the
Guitar Input
jack
, and when connecting a guitar through an multiple effects processor,
or the like, connect it to the
B Input Jack
.
Connecting a Microphone

If the connector on the cable connected to the mike is an XLR one, connect it
to the Mic Input jack. If it is a 1/4” phone plug, connect it to the A Input jack.

* Howling could be produced depending on the location of microphones relative to
speakers. This can be remedied by:
1) Changing the orientation of the microphone(s).
2) Relocating microphone(s) at a greater distance from speakers.
3) Lowering volume levels.
