The AC power switch also interrupts the power supply of the OCXO (OCXO Reference
Frequency option, R&S
FSL-B4). When switching the R&S
ETL back on, be sure to
comply with the extended warm up phase specified in the data sheet.

LAN interface
Used to connect the R&S
ETL to a local network for remote control, remote operation,
printouts and data transfer. The assignment of the RJ.45 connector supports twisted
pair category 5 UTP/STP cables in a star configuration (UTP stands for "unshielded
twisted pair", and STP for "shielded twisted pair").
Do not connect or disconnect the network cable until the R&S
ETL is switched off. Oth-
erwise, the network connection cannot be reliably detected.
Electromagnetic interference (EMI) can affect the measurement results. To avoid any
impact, make sure that the conditions described in
Chapter 6.1, "Preventing Electro-
EXT TRIG/GATE

If the OCXO Reference Frequency (R&S
FSLB4 option) is installed, the EXT REF con-
nector can also be used as output. Use the setup menu to define its use:
