System/network configuration table
As an example, the following table describes the configuration of a small monitoring network.
The default settings for all UMS100 are shown in the first line on a gray background. The tables describes a mixed connection of both UMS100s via LAN/WAN and via GSM mobile network. The configuration that is not required is in gray. It
is advisable to enter these settings beforehand. Otherwise, a service done locally on the LAN interface of a UMS100, connected by GSM, must still use the default IP address even though the login parameter is not default. This could be
confusing for service personnel.
Furthermore, it makes sense for any WAN connections that might be insecure to also have a parallel GSM connection (i.e. using a GSM SIM card). Therefore you have the option to reconfigure the backup connection (GMS) on the control
PC at any time.
