2 Operating with ARGUS-UMS

2.1 Interface overview

Once you have started the program by clicking the icon on the desktop, the registration window appears
where you can enter your user name and password. Then the standard control window opens which
can be subsequently displayed in the following sizes. All additional windows opened from this window
can be placed on the desktop. They are not restricted to the size of the standard window.

You can view information in the help text on the buttons and input fields by simply gliding the mouse
over them. Details on possible value ranges are outlined in the ARGUS-UMS manual respectively in the

Online Help

and can be accessed using the <F1> button. The button functions are also displayed in

the menu.

Any other functions and settings used less frequently can only be accessed via the menu. In particular,
the

Configuration

command.
