2.4 Definition of automatic measurements (AMM)
To a large extent automatic measurements will be the main kind of operation, as in a network of
different UMS100/120, so the operator is released from routine activities an can concentrate on other
activities.
During a short online session with the UMS100/120 the required settings are defined. Then the
connection can be disconnected and the UMS100/120 carry out the measurements “offline”
continuously.
When AMM is selected for the first time the following window appears:

have to be defined. Each of these definitions can be available several times and be assigned
for a specific automatic measurement with additional adaptations. During operation, a large set of
different definitions are then available for the operator's various measurement requirements.
Note:
Before an automatic measurement is defined and started, first run a test with specific settings in the
manual measurement mode. There is a range of combinations which exclude one another. In addition,
there are limits for measurement times, bandwidths and automatic settings resulting in different
parameters.
If automatic measurements are started with parameters that do not match, you possibly will not receive
an error message straight away but only later in the log file.
2.4.1 Memory required for different measurements and
audio recordings
The following table gives the user a roughly overview of the memory required for different
measurements. From these durations an AMM planning could be derived.
