3. Fit the cable clamp (7-2308) such that the indentation
in the clamp locates in the groove in the end fitting of
the outer cable.
4. Refit the dome headed allen bolt (7-229) and
spacer (7-2305).
5. Remove all fittings from the scoop end of the cable
(including the two rubber seals) and feed the cable
through the throttle cable trunking, following the
route of the throttle cables.
6. Ensure that on leaving the trunking, the cable is routed
under the engine tie bar and port engine throttle/gear
cables, and over all other cables.

7. Replace one of the large locknuts on the outer cable
along with one of the washers, then put the cable
through the hanger and replace the other washer
and locknut. Tighten the nuts against one another
(fingertight only) such that an equal amount of
thread is showing on the outer cable above and below
the locknuts.
8. Replace the two rubber cable seals.
9. Slide the spring sleeve (7-2285) over the cable inner
rod, then slide the spring (7-2287) over the rod and
screw on the two small locknuts (KM5H). Lock the
locknuts together with 7mm of rod protruding, then
tighten the banjo bolt (7-2286) to the spring sleeve.
10. Set the lever to the middle position.
11. If not already installed, insert the scoop inner (7-2289)
into the scoop housing (7-2282) - ensuring it is well
greased - such that the threaded hole in the side of
the inner lines up with the milled slot in the side of
the housing. When pushing the scoop inner up into the
housing, some resistance will be felt as the shoulder on
the inner passes over the large O-ring (7-2292).
