7.6 Putting the lifting column into operation
Only authorised personnel may put a lifting column into operation. The safety regulations and
instructions contained in these operating instructions must be observed and complied with.
Before putting into operation, you must check the lifting column for damage and observe the
instructions for operating the lifting column (see section 7.3). If no damage can be detected, then
the lifting column can be put into operation.
Putting a single lifting column into operation
Check that the lifting column is standing securely. Connect the connection cable according to the
assembly instructions for the external controller and follow the procedure in the instructions.
Note when raising and lowering the lifting column that this operates the limit switches and at the
same time switches the lifting movement off in the top and bottom end positions.

An initialisation run on the drives must take place before installing the drives. With
mechanical connection of the drives, the initialisation run must be conducted with the
greatest care. With a mechanical connection and an asynchronous run, there is a risk
of breakage.
