Preparations

Calibration

Before starting a measurement, the unit must be calibrated.

There are three types of calibration.

1)  Electrical calibration with a tone from a built-in signal generator

2)  Calibration with a pistonphone or a sound calibrator

3)  Insert CAL calibration

After turning on the unit, wait at least 2 minutes to let the circuits stabi-

lize.

1) Electrical calibration

The unit can be calibrated using the built-in signal generator (1 kHz, sine 

wave signal).

Microphone sensitivity adjustment

1.  Turn the unit on.

2.  Press the SENS key.

3.  Use the setting ( ,

 

) keys to set the value for the microphone
