4.2.4 VACUUM-PACKING THE RAFT

 

 

The connection between the activating wire and the activating line is obtained by means of a buckle 
as shown in the figure below. 
 

 

 
Activating line 

The activating line consists of two parts: 
- The first part is 1.50 mts long and ties the liferaft to the water-tight bag through an eyelet which is 
placed near the excursion sleeve (dark in colour). 
- The second part, which belongs to the unwinder, is connected to the first part through the same 
eyelet.
