3. SERVICING
3.1 PRELIMINARY INSPECTION
3.1.1 RECEIVING AND CHECKING THE ACCOMPANYING DOCUMENTS
Servicing of the raft, obligatory by law, shall be carried out normally and at owner’s expense and it will have to
be marked on the obligatory documents that accompany it and that must follow the raft for its entire life.
So, first of all check that the raft is accompanied by the prescribed documents; take them off and put them
away carefully in order to send them with the raft after reconditioning.
3.1.2 OPENING THE CONTAINER
3.1.2.1. RIGID CONTAINERS
First of all you must check that the containers are not damaged or chapped because this might compromise
the raft’s functionality. Then check the integrity of the straps. Check the readability and conformity of writings.
3.1.2.1.1 Opening the rigid containers with straps
Cut the straps and the black tape and then replace them when you close everything again.
3.1.2.2 PVC COATED FABRIC VALISES
First check for cuts or abrasions, then open by means of the velcrum strap covered by the PVC of the top of the
valise.
