4. PACKING
4.1 PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS
After finishing all the checking operations proceed as follows:
1)
Disinflate the raft.
2)
Make sure that all the valves are tightened with a torque of 25 Nm.
3)
Assemble protections and joint tubes to the operative head: all the rafts are equipped with protections in
expanded polyethylene positioned in correspondence of the fixing bolts, of the non return valves of the raft’s
tubing and of the cylinder valve as indicated in the attached plans.
Proceed as follows:
•
Unscrew the joint bolts from the non return valves and from the cylinder’s valve;
•
Insert the expanded polyethylene protection on the extremities of the flexible tubes;
•
Replace the seals according to what is foreseen in paragraph 3.3.6 and indicated in the plans on the
following pages.
•
Tighten the bolts with a torque wrench applying 35 Nm torque.
•
Position the protection over the fixing bolt.
ATTENTION: PROTECTIONS POSITIONED OVER THE FIXING BOLTS MUST REPRESENT THE
GUARANTEE FOR THE OPERATOR THAT THE BOLTS HAVE BEEN CORRECTLY TIGHTENED
