Even in case of perfect seal of the operative head-valve-cylinder system, it is indispensable to check the perfect
maintenance condition of the cylinder.
If the cylinder presents bad maintenance conditions like, for example, rust, dents, incrustation, etc, you must
absolutely discharge the cylinder, check its structural integrity submitting it to a hydraulic test and, if it passes
the test, check the integrity and functionality of the neck’s threading, eliminate possible incrustation or rust,
repaint it perfectly and then reassemble the valve and refill.
If the test gives negative results, discard and replace the cylinder.
3.4.3.1 HYDRAULIC TEST
For this type of test, fill the cylinder with water and take the internal pressure to a value of 250 bar.
Check for the absence of damage or collapsing of the cylinder’s structure. If you find damage or collapses,
discard and replace the cylinder.
The cylinder must be submitted to hydraulic test if 10 years have passed since the last test or each time it is
discharged by operating on the operative head.
