9. Storing a ZOE electric vehicle in a dealership
Certain safety rules must be obeyed when storing a ZOE vehicle.
Vehicles that have been involved in an accident
must be isolated for 48 hours
.

Marking out the storage zone:
Posts and chains with a clearly visible "Z.E. park" sign.
o
Definition of the surface area for the storage of electric
vehicles damaged in an accident:
Position
: the same as for areas for internal combustion vehicles damaged in an accident (inaccessible to
customers, at least 12 metres clear of any buildings).
an outdoor, dedicated and uncovered parking
space, at least 5 metres clear of all other vehicles.
An alternative solution can be used where
appropriate (lack of parking space):
o
a three-sided garage, with 1-hour fire-resistant
walls, 3 metres high, made of 20cm aggregate
masonry, resting on a baseplate or reinforced
concrete slabs, chained vertically and
horizontally, or
o
a three-sided garage, made of dual-skin cladding
with a glasswool core capable of withstanding
fire for 1 hour, anchored on the ground.
Local regulations take priority over these
recommendations.
