Marking Lenses
1. Place your lens on the Lens Stand.
Note:
For information on placing a lens on the LensChek Plus/
Pro, refer to the Lens Placement section of this manual.
2. Position your lens using the Measurement Screen.
3. The lens is ready to be marked when the message “Marking
OK” is displayed.
4. Press down the marking lever. Refer to Figure OP-30.
5. Lower the marking lever slowly until the tips of the marking
pens touch the lens surface softly. Refer to Figures OP-31
and OP-32.
6. The marking lever returns to the initial position by releasing
the finger slowly after marking on the lens.
Note:
To prevent damage to the Marking Pens:
•
Avoid touching the pen tips with your fingers.
•
Do not lower the pens without first placing a lens on the
Lens Stand.
• Mark your lenses gently.
• Do not mark a lens multiple times in the same location.
Lenses With Astigmatism
For a lens with astigmatism, there are two methods for aligning
the lens:
1. Move the lens until the axis value on the Measurement
Screen equals the axis value in the patient prescription.
Refer to Figure OP-33.
or
2. Move the lens until the axis value on the Measurement
Screen equals “0”. Refer to Figure OP-33.
3. When the lens is properly aligned, lower the Marking Lever
by swinging the arm down, and gently pressing down on the
larking lever until the marking pens make contact with the
lens surface. Refer to Figures OP-30, OP-31,and OP-32.
