10. Programming the speed controller
a) Programming the neutral and full throttle position
If the vehicle does not remain steady when in the throttle/brake lever’s neutral position, you can adjust the trimming
for the driving function on the transmitter. If the trimming path is not sufficient (or if the trimming is already almost
at the end of the trimming path), you can reprogram the neutral position and the full-throttle positions for forward/
backward driving.
To do this, proceed as follows:
•
Turn on the transmitter, leave the throttle/brake lever in neutral position. Set the trimming for driving function to the
middle position.
•
Press and hold the set-up button (B) and turn on the
speed controller by the slide switch (A) („ON“).
• Thereon, the LED flashes red on the speed controller
and the motor beeps. Release again the set-up button.
If you do not release the set-up button, the programming
mode will be activated (see Chapter 10. b) after a few
seconds. In this case, turn off the speed controller and
proceed once more as described above.
•
Release the throttle/brake lever on your transmitter, so
that it is in the neutral position.
• Press briefly the set-up button (B), the LED on the speed controller will briefly flash once in green; you can also hear
a beeping tone. The neutral position is stored.
The beep tones are generated by a short activation of the brushless motor. However, depending on the
motor, this beeping is very low. Then, please pay attention to the LED on the speed controller.
•
For forward drive, move the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter into the full throttle position, pull it towards the
handle piece and hold it there firmly.
Attention!
If you do not move or you do not move the throttle/brake lever of the transmitter far enough during program-
ming, it may happen that the vehicle already responds to tiny movements of the transmitter’s throttle/brake
lever or becomes uncontrollably after programming is complete. Then redo programming.
• Press briefly the set-up button (B), the LED on the speed controller will briefly flash twice in green; you can also hear
two beeping tones. The full throttle position for forward driving is stored.
•
Move the throttle/brake lever to the full throttle position for backward driving, push it away from the handle until it
stops.
• Press briefly the set-up button (B), the LED on the speed controller will briefly flash three times in green; you can
also hear three beeping tones. The full throttle position for backward driving is stored.
•
Release the throttle/brake lever, so that it is in the neutral position again. Now wait at least 3 seconds, then the
setting mode is exited automatically and the speed controller is operational with the newly modified settings.
