14. Troubleshooting
Even though the model is a state-of-the-art product, there can still be malfunctions or faults. For this reason, we would
like to give you some information on how to deal with possible problems.
Problem
The model does not respond.
The vehicle does not stop when you
release the throttle.
The vehicle does not drive in a
straight line.
Steering or driving movements are
opposite to the movement of remote
control wheel and throttle.
The vehicle becomes slower or the
steering servo only shows weak
responses.
The vehicle responds unexpectedly,
drive or servos start without reason,
steering does not function properly.
Remedy
• Check the battery pack in the vehicle.
• Check the batteries/rechargeable batteries in the remote control.
• Check the connection of the battery pack.
• Check the on/off switch of the vehicle and the remote control.
• Check the description on the crystals (same frequency?
Transmitter and receiver crystals inserted in the correct devices?).
• Change the crystals to a different channel.
• Adjust neutral position for the drive function using the trim control
on the remote control.
• Re-programme the speed controller.
• Adjust the steering function using the trim control on the remote
control.
• Check the steering linkage.
• Check the play in the steering/wheel suspension and, if necessary,
replace worn-out parts.
• Check the servo reverse function on the remote control and, if
necessary, invert it.
• Check the vehicle battery pack and recharge it if necessary.
• Completely pull out the telescopic aerial of the remote control.
• Unroll the aerial of the receiver and install it properly (in the
vertically mounted aerial tube).
• Check the batteries/rechargeable batteries in the remote control.
• Check the battery pack in the vehicle.
• Check the description on the crystals (same frequency?
transmitter and receiver crystals inserted in the correct devices?).
• Change the crystals to a different channel.
• The distance between the vehicle and the remote control is too
small or too large.
