Usually, the gear oil does not need to be changed. However, it is recommended to
change the oil after 10 years according to the operating conditions.
The oil level is to be checked regularly
Check for oily deposits at the gearbox
Prior to the oil change:
Working under the spreader: Secure the spreader against accidental falling
Take precautions against escaping oil
Untighten the protective sheet under the
gear unit
Disassemble the disc speed sensor
CAUTION! During disassembly of the disc
speed sensor, gear oil may escape from the
gearbox.
Untighten the discharge screw
To discharge the oil, the spreader may
need to be tilted forward
Re-tighten the discharge screw with a new
CU ring 16x20
