Physical Connections for the IP-Reach Unit(s)
These IP-Reach units will provide digitized access to your Paragon configuration’s User Stations.
Figure 15 An Example IP-Reach M2 Connected To Two UST User Stations
To enable this, use a KVM cable (e.g. a Raritan CCPT20 cable) to connect the
KVM Input Ports
to keyboard, video and mouse ports on the back of a UST1 or EUST User Station. Each KVM
Input port can be connected to a user station to provide an additional path of access in your PCCI
setup.
A Note About IP-Reach Passwords
When adding an IP-Reach unit to a PCCI system, the password for the
admin
account must
match the password for the
admin
account on the Paragon II switches. By default, the password
is
raritan
on both devices. However, if you have changed the
admin
password on your Paragon
devices, you will need to manually change the IP-Reach units to use the same
admin
password
before P2SC can integrate the two.
We recommend documenting device name, IP Address, CommandCenter Secure Gateway
account, and attached systems (port #, type, system name) for future reference.
