Chapter 5: Paragon II System Controller
Installation and Configuration
The Paragon II System Controller aggregates Paragon II systems, providing management and
access via CommandCenter Secure Gateway.
Important: Each Paragon II System Controller can support up to eight base
switches per subnet. To add additional Paragon switches, you must configure
additional Paragon II System Controllers. Please note that each Paragon II
System (Paragon II System Controller, Paragon switches and IP-Reach) must
be on separate subnets.

1. Attach the included AC power cord to the Primary port on the rear panel of the Paragon II
System Controller unit and plug the other end of the cord into an AC power outlet.
2. Attach a PS/2 keyboard and the multi-sync monitor to the corresponding ports on the rear
panel of the Paragon II System Controller unit.
3. Power ON the unit.
Note: The USB ports on the rear panel of this unit are non-functional. Use the PS/2 ports for
configuring your P2SC.
