Maintenance
The following section provides instructions for maintenance, storage and packaging of
the R&S UPZ.
5.1 Mechanical Maintenance
The instrument does not need a periodic maintenance. Only the cleaning of the
instrument is essential. The outside of the instrument is suitably cleaned using a soft,
lint-free dust cloth. Make sure that the air vents are not obstructed.
Shock hazard
Before cleaning the instrument, make sure that the instrument is switched off and
disconnected from all power supplies.
Instrument damage caused by cleaning agents
Cleaning agents contain substances that may damage the instrument, e.g. cleaning
agents that contain a solvent may damage the front panel labeling or plastic parts.
Never use cleaning agents such as solvents (thinners, acetone, etc), acids, bases, or
other substances.
The outside of the instrument can be cleaned sufficiently using a soft, lint-free dust
cloth.
Follow the instructions in the service manual and the safety instructions when
exchanging modules or ordering spares. The order no. for spare parts is included in
the service manual, as well as further information on troubleshooting and repair. The
