R&S UPZ

Example:
●
Channel 3 is connected to busbar A. Then, the R&S UPZ receives the command to
connect channel 3 to busbar B. Channel 3 and busbar A are disconnected (relay
opened) and channel 3 is connected to busbar B.
The behaviour differs from the operation via the R&S UPL. There, the channel
previously selected on the other busbar is skipped (see section
).
●
Commands that are not understood by the R&S UPZ are ignored and do not
generate an error message
●
If an attempt is made to set a channel, which is outside of the range of the switcher
connected, the channel previously active is opened. However, the new one cannot
be set. But no error message is output! The channel range monitoring facility,
which generates the error message described in section
, is performed
exclusively in the R&S UPL. This also applies to a channel entry >128.
●
The entry of a value <-1 (for the output switcher) is interpreted as unknown
command and therefore ignored.
●
The setting command "-1" described in example 4 for the output switcher may be
entered for the two busbars via a PC. The last command again overwrites the
previous setting.
If all channels of busbar B were previously switched on with
ob-1<NL>
(except the
channel selected in A) and the command
oa-1<NL>
is then sent, all channels are
connected to busbar A (except the channel previously selected in A). The channel
previously connected to busbar A is now the only one that is connected to
busbar B.
Example:
Channel 3 is connected to busbar A, channels 1 and 2 as well as 4 to 8 to busbar
B (oa3<NL> and ob-1<NL>). When oa-1<NL> is entered, channel 3 is connected
to busbar B and all other channels to busbar A.
