Unit
To
connect
an
ODU
to
an
HSS
unit:
1.
Unscrew
the
protective
cover
from
the
port
marked
SYNC
1.
2.
Connect
the
RJ
‐
45
connector
from
one
end
of
the
prepared
CAT
‐
5e
cable
to
SYNC
1.
3.
Connect
the
other
end
of
the
CAT
‐
5e
cable
to
the
ODU
connector
labeled
SYNC.
4.
Tighten
the
protective
seal
that
is
on
the
prepared
cable
over
the
RJ
‐
45
connector.
5.
Repeat
for
all
ODUs
that
are
to
be
collocated
at
the
hub
site.
The
next
ODU
to
be
connected
is
inserted
in
SYNC
1,
SYNC
2,
followed
by
SYNC
3
and
so
on.
Note
•
For
a
single
HSS
unit,
ensure
that
the
collocated
units
are
connected
in
sequence
from
SYNC
1.
If
an
ODU
is
removed
from
the
hub
site,
then
all
remaining
ODUs
must
be
reconnected
to
maintain
the
connectivity.
•
You
may
cascade
(daisy
‐
chain)
two
or
more
HSS
Units
with
an
HSS
cable.
The
method
is
described
in
detail
below.
