21.0 CALCULATIONS
The following are calculations used for percent registration by the RM-111. For percent error, just
take the percent registration minus 100%. For example, if percent registration is 99%, then percent
error is 99% - 100% = -1.0%. Note that the negative percent error indicates that the meter is running
slow.
TESTING STANDARDS: COUNTING PULSES
% Registration = 100% *
DUT pulses * DUT pulse constant
Reference Standard Pulses * Reference Standard Pulse Constant
TESTING STANDARDS: POTENTIAL GATING THE STANDARD UNDER TEST
% Registration = 100% *
DUT display * DUT Display Kh
Reference Standard Pulses * Reference Standard Pulse Constant
For the above applications the RM-111 divides the reference standard pulse constants by the number
of reference standards used if averaging is specifi ed.
NOTE #1:
If more than one current input is used, and the inputs are in series on the reference standards, then,
the user must enter the pulse constant multiplied by the number of current inputs in series.
For example, in the reference pulse constant is 0.00001 and 3 inputs are in series then the reference
standard's pulse constant = 3 * 0.00001 = 0.0003.
