Shift:
The SHIFT key puts the keypad in TXT mode activating the letters on the keypad as the
user input mode. Pressing SHIFT again returns the keypad to the default mode (normal operating
mode) of NUM where the normal input is once again numerical.

Alphanumeric Keypad:
Numeric keypad entry is direct when the RM-111 is in the NUM
input mode. Character input is achieved via the keypad when the SHIFT key is pressed as
described above. Once in the TXT input mode, keypad entry scrolls through the letters on the
selected key with every press of that key. For example, there are either two or three letters
assigned to every number key. Moving among characters on the LCD is done with the LEFT/
RIGHT ARROW keys. Moving between lines is done with the UP/DOWN ARROW keys.

The ON key
turns the RM-111 power on. The OFF key turns the RM-111 power off. Note
that the RM-111 boasts a user confi gurable time out feature and will shut itself off after a pre-set
time. However, it will not time out during a test or while in RM-111 Link Mode.

LCD:
Allows the contrast to be adjusted by pressing and holding down the LCD key and
using the UP/DOWN ARROWS for increasing and decreasing contrast level, respectively.
Releasing the LCD key returns the RM-111 to normal operating mode.
16.
LCD Display:
16 character 4 line liquid crystal display.
