RM-111 Operations Manual
7. Select the previously confi gured test setup.
8. If not already completed, follow the prompts on the RM-111 to make the appropriate
connections. If using three inputs, see Figure 7.0 “Testing a Radian Standard Using the Average
of Three Inputs (Display Gating)”. See Figure 6.0 “Testing a Radian Standard (Display Gating)”
for testing with only one reference standard. The number of reference standards defi ned in the
test setup determine how the ports are confi gured. If three reference standards are used, then ports
A, B, and C will be confi gured and their results averaged. This confi guration will allow only one
standard under test, which will connect to port D. For one reference standard, only port A will be
confi gured. This option will allow for up to three standards to be tested.
9. Once connections are complete, press ENTER to start the test.
10. The RM-111 will prompt the user to reset the standard(s) displays.
11. In this mode, the RM-111 counts the number of pulses from the reference standard(s). The
watthour count will be displayed when the specifi ed number of pulses have been counted. The
RM-111 averages the multiple reference standards internally then calculates the averaged value in
the results.
12. The test is now complete. To process the results press ENTER.
13. Showing the results will display the result screen with a down arrow icon in the lower right
corner. This icon references the DOWN ARROW key on the RM-111. Pressing the DOWN
ARROW key prompts the user to enter the DUTs display reading. Enter that value directly into
the keypad and press ENTER. The calculated % Registration or % Error will appear at the bottom
of the screen. For multiple DUTs enter their respective display reading directly over the previous
display reading. Press ENTER for the calculated result. Use the LEFT and RIGHT ARROW
keys to move the cursor through the display’s digits. The DUT number increases numerically
as multiple entries are made. Repeat this process for all additional DUTs. Press CANCEL when
fi nished to return to the Main Menu.
14. To re-run the test select Re-Run Test. The pulses will be counted again and the new count will
be displayed on the RM-111. Press ENTER to continue.
15. To print the results connect the RM-RPP Remote Portable Printer to the SERIAL PORT on the
RM-111. Turn the RM-RPP to the ON 1 position. Select Print Results. This will start the printing
process. The printout is time/date stamped and includes both the watthour count and the calculated
% Registration or % Error.
16. To save the results select Save Results. The RM-111 will prompt the user for the enabled
parameters in the User Prompts menu and save the test results.
