if the solenoid valve fails to close when
the power is disconnected, it needs
cleaning:
1.
isolate the water supplies and relieve
the pressure by operating an outlet.
2.
switch off the power. unscrew the
retaining screw and remove the
electrical connector from the solenoid
coil. if the solenoid coil is 'open
circuit' then it requires replacement
(normal impedance is approximately
10 ohms).
3.
remove the four screws, the spring,
the bracket, the armature housing
and the armature.
4.
carefully remove the diaphragm
assembly.
5.
inspect the rubber of the diaphragm.
if the rubber is perished or damaged,
then replace the valve.
6.
clean out any residue or debris from
the body and make sure that all the
holes are clear.
7.
reassemble the components in
reverse order.
