3.12 Lighting and signals (standard)
i
IMPORTANT:
The user is responsible for ensuring the compliance
of the hitched assembly with the applicable
regulations for transport on the public highway.

Signalling and lighting kits are available for all implements.
Consult your dealer.
3.13 Braking
According to the country in which the implement is used, you
will have either a hydraulic or a pneumatic braking system as
standard or optionally.
3.13.1
Hydraulic braking
The implement is equipped with an approved hydraulic braking
system.
-
The implement is equipped with the following components:
∙
Service brake: coupled to the tractor's braking system via a
brake valve, a hydraulic line and a brake cylinder with spring-
operated return mechanism. This brake enables actuation
of the trailer brake when the driver presses the tractor brake
pedal. It must act on all the wheels, and its sizing depends on
the permissible maximum weight of the trailer.
3.13.2
Pneumatic braking
The implement is equipped with an approved pneumatic braking
system.
-
The implement is equipped with the following components:
∙
The implement is equipped with a dual line compressed air
braking system.
∙
Service brake: coupled to the tractor's braking system via
two coupling heads, pneumatic hoses and a tank. This brake
enables actuation of the trailer brake when the driver presses
the tractor brake pedal. It must act on all the wheels, and its
sizing depends on the permissible maximum weight of the
trailer.
3.13.3
Parking and break-away brake
∙
The parking brake comprises a lever, with a catch, positioned
at the front of the trailer that is generally connected to the
brake rods of the axle(s) by means of a steel cable. This
brake is used to immobilise the trailer when parked (laden or
unladen).
∙
Break-away brake system: this system is characterised by
a link between the upper part of the parking brake lever and
a fixed point on the rear of the tractor. This link must have a
failure load of 60 Kg, it generally consists of a cord (or a steel
cable) and a calibrated ring: in the event of a coupling device
failure, the link must actuate the brake lever before breaking
and thus immobilise the trailer. The safety bolt must be placed
in the "break-away" position in order to be operational.
a
CAUTION:
A breaking load of more than 60 kg on this link
would cause the parking brake to break, a breaking
load of less than, 60 kg would not apply the
trailer's parking brake fully and would therefore not
immobilise it.
