Troubleshooting Tips
1. Issues connecting with the
KX3, KX2, K3, K3s
,
If you experience issues connecting to the rig, the
following procedure is recommended. Verify the rig
baud rate is set to 38400.
a. Turn off the rig
b. Turn off the KLG via the on/off switch
c. Turn the rig on first.
d. Wait a few seconds
e. Turn on the KLG
2. The KLG is connected, but no text is appearing
Ensure that the
rig’s Text Decoding feature is turned on
and you see characters scrolling on the rig’s display (in
the lower right hand corner).

up the rigs.
In a nutshell,
For the KX3 / KX2, the setup is as follows:

For PSK31:
Mode: TX Data (tap Data/Text button)
Data MD: PSK D (select with VFO B)
Text Decode: ON (hold Data/Text button)

For RTTY:
Mode: TX Data (tap Data/Text button)
Data MD: FSK D (select with VFO B)
Text Decode: ON (hold Data/Text button)

For CW:
Mode: CW (tap
