CE Installation instructions
Prorunner mk10-PS
Before the CE
Installation
instructions have been met completely, the machine must not be used.
1) Area safety fencing
The machine must be placed within a safety fencing. This safety fencing has to comply with standards EN-
ISO 14120, EN 619, and EN-ISO 13857 and the minimum required safety distances must be met. Access
doors must be interlocking complying with EN 14119.
2) Emergency stop and safety functions - Performance level
Emergency stop functions and safety functions must be added to the machine and validated. These
functions must comply with Performance level PL d or better and with EN-ISO 13849-1/2. Safety stop
functions must also comply with EN-ISO 13850.
3) Safety light curtains
Over horizontal conveyors that reduce free access, safety light curtains must have 2 beams minimum. Otherwise safety
light curtains must have 3 beams of more. They must be a type 3 or better. The light curtains must be installed, taking
into account the requirements regarding placement and required safety distances from EN-ISO 13855.
4) Electrical installation
The electrical installation must be constructed in accordance with the regulations of EN-IEC 60204-1
(electrical safety) and EN-IEC 61000-6-2 and EN-IEC 61000-6-4 (EMC).
5) Adding of components
If machines and/or other items are added to this machine, they must comply with the safety requirements
of the Machinery Directive or other EU directives that apply to those items. At the transitions between this
machine and the added machines and/or other items, the hazards that may be present there must be
sufficiently reduced. The assembly as a whole must meet the safety requirements of the Machinery
Directive.
6) User manual
The system integrator must ensure that the end user receives a user manual, including operating
instructions, for the complete machine in the correct language.
7) Safety icons
The system integrator must supply and apply safety icons for apertures, doors and safety light curtains in
the area fencing and on control cabinets, as described in the user manual.
8) Overload test vertical conveyor (vertical transfer device)
If a vertical conveyor has not yet undergone static and dynamic overload testing as required by the
Machinery Directive, the system integrator must have these tests performed by a competent person before
initial commissioning. A test report must be signed by the integrator and added to the documentation. A
copy must be sent to Qimarox. See the “Testing Qimarox vertical conveyors manual”
9) Fencing of vertical conveyor (vertical transfer device)
The fencing around a vertical conveyor must meet the requirements of prEN 619:2019 4.20.10.1/2/3. On
every floor with input or output, an access door or hatch with door switch must be present and, to prevent
people from falling, an opening in an upper floor must be fitted with railing or other measures.
