Note : If there are no existing assays in the shortcut
browser, refer to section 5.3.1 to set up a new one.
8. In the “Instrument Parameters” drop-down list, select the
instrument parameters file that corresponds to the
PyroMark Q96 Cartridge to be used.
9. Click to save.
10. Open the instrument lid.
11. Open the process chamber lid.
12. Place an empty PyroMark Q96 Plate Low on the heating
block.
13. Close the process chamber lid.
14. Open the dispensing unit cover and insert an empty
reagent cartridge.
15. Close the dispensing unit cover and press the latch down
into its locked position.
16. Close the instrument lid.
17. Check that the instrument is connected by selecting
“Preferences” from the “Tools” menu.
Note : If the instrument name does not appear, click
“Find Instrument” to have the software detect the
connected PyroMark Q96 ID Instrument. Upon detecting
the instrument, the software will enter the instrument
serial number and URL. Assign a name to the instrument
and click “Save”.
