3.0 Flowswitches & Contact Sets
3.1 Contact Sets
Flowswitch:
Provides a set of contacts that close when there is flow past or through the sensor.
Flowswitch contact sets are used to permit the sensor measurement.

Flowswitch
Flow:
OK to turn ON relay actuated
device or validate sensor
measurements.
No Flow:
Immediately turns OFF a
relay actuated device or suspends
sensor measurement.
Contact set closes when flow measured.
Default: Connect to Analyzer input ‘

A manual RUN/STOP switch may be used
in place of or in series with a Flowswitch.
Dry Contact Sets:
Contact sets connected to the Analyzer must be ‘dry’, without AC or DC voltage on either of the
contact set wires. Contact sets cannot be shared between the Analyzer and any other Analyzer
type or automation system.
