Your equipment comes with a power cable that meets your local electrical code require-
ments along with the equipment. Precor commercial treadmills must be connected to a 20
amp individual branch circuit that can be shared only with one PVS.
The power cord on the treadmill is equipped with a grounding conductor and a three-pin
grounding plug. This plug must be inserted into an outlet that is properly installed and groun-
ded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances. Failure to ground the treadmill prop-
erly may void the Precor Limited Warranty.
CAUTION
: Improper connection of the grounding conductor can result in a risk of
electric shock. Check with a qualified electrician or service person if you are not
sure whether the equipment is properly grounded. DO NOT modify the plug
provided with the treadmill. If the plug does not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet
installed by a qualified electrician.
Verifying 20 Amp outlet receptacles
US and Canadian installations require 20A current rated power outlets.
You can visually identify a 20A from a 15A rated outlet receptacle by the different style outlet
sockets. Make sure the facility wall outlets are the 20A style outlet receptacles.
CAUTION
: DO NOT use 20A to 15A power cord adapters to plug the equipment
power cord into a 15A wall outlet.
