27. Install new felt pad (P/N 1250-308), felt ring (P/N 1250-114), wiper
ring (P/N 15910), surface ring (P/N 1250-106) and soft rubber backup
ring (orange) (P/N 1250-108) with the “dimple” side up.
The felt ring (P/N 1250-114) should be lightly lubricated with O-

build-up from occurring under the powder wheel.

29. Place powder canister upper housing assembly onto lower housing.
Line up pressure balancing tube assembly fitting with fitting on main
chassis.

Tighten pressure balancing tube assembly fitting.
To tighten and seal the pressure balancing tube properly, hold the
bulkhead fitting with a wrench on the inside of the cabinet while
tightening the nut on the outside.
32. Reattach heater connection lead.
33. Install the tamper assembly, fit u-shaped slot on the flat spring over
the stand-off pin and tighten.
C. Checking Seal Integrity
1. Plug powder feeder into 110 VAC using cable P/N 5005028.
2. Place a cap over powder outlet fitting.
3. Move FEEDER ON/OFF switch to ON position.
4. Pressurize powder canister to 90 psi (621 kPa) with clean, dry air or
inert gas ONLY.
5. Shut off gas supply.
6. Observe pressure gauge for 45 seconds. If pressure drops 5 psi (34.5
kPa) or less, feeder is properly sealed. If a greater pressure drop is
observed, check that O-rings are in good condition and are properly
seated.
