A. Resetting Preventive Maintenance Time Accumulator
Press Display mode selector button on left side of numeric LED display to
see Preventive Maintenance (PM) Time Accumulator value.
The PM time accumulator has the number of hours that the unit has been
in actual powder feeding operation since its last preventive maintenance
overhaul. The time recorded represents running hours only. Time spent
simply with power applied to the unit, but in a non-feeding (motor
stopped) condition, is NOT included in the count. Time on the unit is
measured in hours and tenths of hours, not hours and minutes.
Circuitry will continually monitor PM accumulation and will flash the
SERVICE LED when accumulation equals or exceeds 80 hours. This
feature reminds the user that the unit is due for a periodic overhaul of the
canister feed mechanism. This mechanism includes the wiper ring, felt
pad, o-rings, etc. Overhaul unit every 80 “feed on” hours. Overhaul unit
every 40 “feed on” hours if surface ring has been bound tight into its slot
(see Section 4-11 regarding Thorough Powder Feeder Cleaning).
