A. Plasma Pressurization Mode
Place PLASMA/HVOF switch in PLASMA position to activate Plasma
Pressurization Mode. In Plasma Pressurization Mode, the canister
pressurizes during powder feeding (when RPM is on). The canister
depressurizes at all other times.
B. HVOF Pressurization Mode
Place PLASMA/HVOF switch in HVOF position to activate HVOF
Pressurization Mode. In HVOF Pressurization Mode, the canister remains
pressurized constantly, regardless of powder feeding state.
Make sure PSI gauge is at 0 before opening lid. Toggle the main AC
Power Switch to OFF, or place PLASMA/HVOF switch in PLASMA
position, to depressurize canister before servicing the hopper or adding
powder.
C. Local Mode
Place LOCAL/REMOTE mode switch in LOCAL position to activate
Local Mode. In Local Mode, hopper activation is controlled by the
POWDER FEED switch (see Section 4-1). Powder feed indicator light
illuminates when powder is feeding.
D. Remote Mode
Place LOCAL/REMOTE mode switch in REMOTE position to activate
Remote Mode. In Remote Mode, putting POWDER FEED switch in ON
position merely ENABLES activation by a remote control source. The
powder feed indicator light illuminates when a remote control source
activates powder feeding. Hopper will not feed powder, whatever the
mode, when POWDER FEED switch is in OFF position.
External control equipment may activate powder feeding by one of two
methods:
First, hopper external connection equipment will provide 110 VAC (hot)
to a designated pin on the CONSOLE connector of the hopper. Presence
of 110 VAC will begin powder feeding if POWDER FEED switch is ON.
Removal of 110 VAC stops powder feeding. The return path for this
“signal” is the neutral lead of the AC power cord.
