2.11 Service
Mode
The UPS has a technician’s SERVICE MODE that is password protected. Access to
the service mode is only permitted after the technician successfully enters an assigned
password.
2.12 Emergency Power-Off (EPO)
The system includes a pair of wires linking two Emergency Power-Off terminals,
located together with the other terminals. These terminals are labeled “EMERG.
OFF” or “EPO (N.C.)”
The Emergency Power-Off terminals should be connected by a normally closed, 48V
0.1A mushroom-type pushbutton.
Pressing the pushbutton opens the contact and shuts down the unit. Power to the load
is cut. See also section 5.5, “After Use of the Emergency Power-Off Switch” on page
33.
2.13 Connections
For the 30-60 kVA models:
All connections—connection panel, input, output, and
batteries—are accessed via the lower portion of the front of the UPS. The user must
unlock the door with a flathead screwdriver to access these areas.
For the 10-20 kVA models:
All connections are made on the rear panel of the UPS.
