Starting raking
Rake end
Example - left rotor with tandem chassis:
Requirement:
- Flat and solid ground
- 1.5 bar pressure in all tyres
- The machine is attached to the tractor and in the working position
1. Step:
Lower the tines using crank. The lowest tines should no
longer sweep the ground when the rotor is turned.
2. Step:
Set the lateral incline using eccentric bolts in rake start
position so that the first tines activated (rake start) have a
ground clearance of approx. 1 - 1.5 cm.
Note: Set both eccentric bolts
simultaneously on the relevant side.
3. Step:
Setting the rake height using crank handle. The ground
clearance at "rake start" position should now be approx.
3.5 cm. The ground clearance at "rake end" position should
now be approx. 2.0 cm.
4. Step:
Set the inner feeler wheel so that the tines in front have a
ground clearance of 2.5 cm.
5. Step:
Set the outer feeler wheel (multi feeler wheel) so
that it is only slightly weighted.
6. Step:
Set the distance of the outer feeler wheel to the rotor.
The distance (A) of the front outer feeler wheel to the
tine rotor can be set in 8.5 cm steps. There are three
adjustment possibilities.
Position the feeler wheel as close to the rotor as possible.
Further away from the tines for lengthy fodder.
Note:
If the outer feeler wheel is set to its
maximum length, danger of collision with
the tractor exists when driving in curves,
in the working or headland positions.
