Meaning of the Terms Used in this Manual
• Main Device (or Main Body): This refers to the NETWORK FLIPCHART.
• USB memory: refers to USB flash memory.
• USB memory storage: means the saving of sheet surface data using MEMORY (i.e., the USB port) of the operation panel.
• Memory for computer storage: indicates a temporary saving location of the image that has been read.
• “copy”: Both “print” and “USB memory saving” mean to “copy.”
• “Sheet surface”: refer to the drawing portion.
• Single-sided / Double-sided: This refers to the scanning range of the sheet. Single-sided means scanning the side of the sheet
currently visible while double-sided means scanning both the front and back sides of the sheet.
• “Scroll” or “move”: indicates feeding of the sheet
• Memory for network storage: Memory used for network storage.
• Network: The communications network on which devices are interconnected in net fashion for communication (exchange of
data) between the devices. For this NETWORK FLIPCHART, the “network” indicates the LAN below.
• LAN (Local Area Network): A closed communications network for communicating within a restricted area, such as within a com-
pany.
• FTP (File Transfer Protocol): The protocol (communications rules) used when transferring files on a TCP/IP network.
