4.6. Self-Test Mode
4.6.1. General Information
To check the performance of the components of IT-088 and their functional conditions,
self-test mode can be used. The
icon corresponds to this mode. See figure 4.33:

The table displys the following parameters to be checked:
a)
Temperature.
Temperature inside of the Removable Module;
b)
Batt Voltage.
Voltage of the battery;
c)
Batt Capacity.
The remaining capacity of the battery;
d)
Voltage bat.
Voltage of the standby battery;
e)
Program mem.
Condition of the program memory;
f)
MB Devices.
Condition of the Base Unit;
g)
MC Devices.
Condition of the Removable Module;
h)
Files mem.
Condition of the Data Logger NVRAM.
4.6.2. Removable Module Temperature
The parameter is intended for checking the temperature inside the Removable Module.
Temperature is the main environmental factor, which influences the accuracy of
measurements. To check the accuracy of measurements of the signal level, use the
temperature parameter. If the temperature value is within the allowed range of – 10 to 50

status will be displayed at the end of the value line. If the temperature is
beyond this allowed range, then status will not be displayed. If instead of temperature

value is displayed, this indicates either the absence of the Removable Module or
temperature measuring device defect.
4.6.3. Battery Condition
The voltage and remaining capacity parameters are intended for checking the battery
condition. Check the battery condition when operating in off-line mode (power supply
switched off). If the measured battery voltage is greater than 6.6 V, then

status is
indicated. If the voltage is less than 6.6 V, then
low
status is indicated. The voltage will
then be recalculated into the remaining battery capacity value in percent, which will help
you to estimate the time remaining for the Analyzer to operate. You should consider that
with decrease of air temperature the battery capacity also decreases. This should be taken
into account when estimating the operating time of the Analyzer.
